Important Information

Fair Wear & Tear

We realise that commercial vehicles are worked hard for a living, however, unlike some of our competitors we don't treat every scratch and minor dent as an extra source of income. Our objective is to provide all customers with clear guidelines on what is and isn't acceptable damage. As full members of the BVRLA (British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association) we subscribe to 100% of their policy on fair wear and tear - copies available on request.

24 Hour Emergency Breakdown

Even with the best plans emergencies can happen to anybody - that's why we're geared up to help you with our 24/7 breakdown service. If the vehicle breaks down during your rental you can call 0800 66 3000 and we will get you back on the road as soon as possible.

Third Party Liability Insurance

The vehicle you rent from us will be insured under our policy for third party liability. This is included in the quoted price.

Collision Damage & Theft Waiver

In the event of damage being caused to the rented vehicle, or in the event of the vehicle being stolen, your liability will be limited to the first £500. To reduce this amount further please enquire about excess reduction when you collect the vehicle from the branch.

Payment Terms

Payment will be taken by card during the online booking process and is fully inclusive of 'Collision Damage & Theft Waiver' and 'Third party liability insurance'. For any optionally requested additional services, customers may pay using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro or Eurocard at the branch when the vehicle is collected. You can pay by personal or business cheque but please advise us if you plan to use this payment method prior to collecting the vehicle. We are unable to accept cash, postal orders or Electron cards.

Deposit Terms

Customers paying online for bookings with a duration of less than 2 weeks, by credit card, will not be charged a deposit although a credit card authorisation will be taken for the duration of rental. Customers paying by debit card and customers renting for a period greater than 2 weeks will be required to leave a deposit on collection of the vehicle.

Required Identification

On collection of your vehicle at the branch you will need to show proof of identification. You will be asked to provide your driving licence (original only) along with two other forms of up-to-date identification, one of which should be an official document with your photograph. We accept: passport, works identity card, utility bills, bank statements and credit card statements.

Hire Period

The hire period is that specified during the online booking process. The vehicle should be returned at, or before, the time at which it was collected on the due return date, else another day’s rental charges may be incurred.

Licence requirements

Most of our vehicles can be driven on a full UK driving licence. If you passed your test before January 1997 your driving licence includes being able to drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle, however passing your test after January 1997 means that you are only entitled to drive up to 3.5 tonne vehicle, unless you have a commercial vehicle licence. If you have any doubts please ask at the branch.

Travel in Europe

The prices quoted on this website cover rental for the UK only. Vehicles may not be taken outside the UK without the permission of the branch at which the vehicle is collected. If desired, hirers may request permission to take the vehicle outside of the UK at time of collection, but additional charges may be payable.
